The Greyhound On The Test

I took a fabulous drive to the pretty Hampshire town of Stockbridge which lies  in the stunning Test Valley.  The lovely chalk streams of the upper River test is famed for its excellent fly-fishing and flows through and around the town.  I did wonder why the road is so wide, but have since found out that it was a through-route for drovers bringing their sheep and cattle from Wales.

My destination was the Greyhound On The Test, a gorgeous pub, nestling in the High Street.  Soon I will be exhibiting some “Fly Fishing” original paintings there but in the meantime, I have delivered three “Shoot” paintings and they are now hanging in the “Hound Room”.  The staff in the pub were extremely welcoming and wasted no time in helping me to arrange the paintings in the room.  I really do look forward to returning soon and have I would love to explore the river and town further!

Other artists exhibiting work there are Soraya French, Fiona Forbes, Stephen Webber, and Richard Robjent.  Here is a link to the pub:  Please click here
