Pheasant action

With just over a month to go before the shooting season starts at Bettws Hall, I have my sleeves rolled up and my brushes are flying.

I am busy working on a new collection of shoot art that will be displayed amongst three lodges and will encompass both acrylics on canvas and framed watercolours.  My favourite subjects are always the dogs as I adore their focus and commitment to the job in hand.  But really, there is so much inspiration to be gained from the colours, atmosphere and beautiful scenery, that I am never short of ideas when I start a new piece.

For the past few years I have made the trip up to Snowdonia to deliver new pieces and it has become one of my favourite times on the calendar and towards the end of September I will be going again with a new collection of paintings.  Another favourite time is “Beaters Day” at Chargot in February where a lot of inspiration comes for my new work.

Please do let me know if you’d like to see the shoot work, I will can let you know by email when the collection is ready to view.
