Let’s paint – 2
Hello everyone 🙂
Welcome to the second of my online tutorials – aimed at keeping everyone painting during a potentially long period of being at home. I welcome you to ask me any questions (firstname.lastname@example.org), show me your work – never feel alone! I hope to inspire you to pick up your brushes. Art can be therapy – beautifully absorbing and relaxing.
This tuition is completely free and without any obligation at all. If you do want to purchase a pack of greetings cards from the website to help me with time and costs, that would be awesome, but no need to, if you don’t want to.
Without further ado…here is what we need for the daffodils: Don’t worry if you don’t have all the paints/brushes – experiment with what you have.
Paints and brushes
Ceruleum, Ultramarine Blue, Lemon Yellow (Windsor Newton doesn’t behave in the same way as Daler Rowney), Permanent Magenta, Burnt Sienna, Cadmium orange, Titanium White. If you use masking fluid, you won’t need the titanium white. Brushes = 14, 6 and rigger.
I use Saunders Waterford NOT 300 gsm and I’m painting on a paper size 30cm x 30cm.
(Don’t forget to pause the video if you need a little more time)
Well, this challenge is just a little different. I have deliberately sped up the video slightly. I would love you to get the idea of how I painted this without following individual brush strokes. I’m hoping you will get a fresh and spontaneous watercolour together with having a little fun along the way.
