Swan – online tuition

Let’s get painting :).  After following the tuition, email your watercolour painting of a swan to me by 15th November to enter prize draw to win a 15ml Daniel Smith watercolour tube pigment.  (If winner resides overseas, they will receive a free online watercolour tuition instead).

Would you like to learn how to paint this Swan in watercolour?   The online video illustrates the process  of how to paint this “white” subject starting with the initial planning ideas, to the final brushstrokes.

What you will learn:

Video:  A 30 minute video to illustrate how important the planning process is for a painting and how to achieve the finished piece.  We work in a controlled wet-on-dry way to start, followed by wet-in-wet and then finish with some detail.


Cadmium orange
Buff Titanium
Sugilite Genuine
Lunar Blue
(Titanium white for some splashes)

Please don’t worry if you don’t have all these colours.  I would definitely recommend having an experiment with the paints you already have in your palette.
